Specialisation courses for Infant and Primary Education students
Education students can opt to take Specialisation Courses (including face-to-face and blended learning programmes). To access a specialisation course, students must enrol in four 3rd and 4th-year elective courses and the 4th-year Practicum III subject.

The specialisation courses taken in the Primary Education Degree are equivalent to the Education Diploma specialities, in accordance with Royal Decree 1594, 2011, Teaching Specialities

Second Specialisation Courses for Education Graduates
Infant and Primary Education graduates from CUCC, UAH, or any other university, can take a new specialisation course at CUCC.
According to the information note issued on 19 January 2018 by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, any graduates of an Infant or Primary Education Degree can take a specialisation course in a different university from where they obtained their degree.

Procedure
Apply according to the dates and general admission procedure:
- 1st period: 11 June - 2 July 2018.
Once all applications have been received, admitted students will be notified to enrol in the specific subjects of the specialisation course.
Discounts for CUCC alumni
CUCC alumni, who have taken at least 180 ECTS credits at our centre, can benefit from a 20% discount on subjects studied under the blended learning modality. Also, CUCC alumni are exempt from paying management fees.
Additional information
If a graduate takes a specialisation course at a different university to where they obtained their official Infant or Primary Education Degree, the university where the specialisation course is taken must issue an official academic certificate for the purposes of accreditation and obtaining the specialisation course certificate (Royal Decree 195/2016 of 13 May).
If the demand for places exceeds the offer, the applications will be prioritised based on the average grade indicated in the applicants’ academic transcript. There is a minimum number of students per specialisation course. If the minimum number is not filled, the specialisation course will not be offered.
Admitted students must register for the specific subjects of the specialisation course, in accordance with the study plan for the applicable academic year.
